Function Room   


The Victoria Cross Function Room is available to all members for private functions, conferences, weddings, engagements, celebrations etc. We can hold functions for 50 -200 guests.
Various menus are available.

=Spanikopitas (Spinach and Feta triangular filo parcels) set on a       mixed leaf and greek salad with a blue cheese dressing (V).


=Traditional Caesar Salad topped with tempura prawns.


=Smoked Salmon Salad – Sliced Tasmanian smoked salmon with a rocket and cherry tomato salad finished with cracked pepper and lime dressing.


=Malaysian Chicken Satay Kebabs – Tender chicken breast pieces marinated in Malaysian spices, chargrilled and coated with peanut and macadamia satay sauce served with steamed jasmine rice.


=Thai Fish Cakes – Market fresh fish, tangy Thai spices, red onion and mash potato all bound together and lightly fried and served with a mixed leaf salad with a chilli and herb dressing

Main Meal Selections
=Beef – mustard and horseradish infused fillet of beef cooked medium served on a medley of chargrilled seasonal vegetables with a whiskey and mushroom sauce.


=Chicken – Tuscan Roasted Chicken served on roasted root vegetables finished with lemon and rosemary scented olive oil and redwine and redcurrant jus.


=Grilled Pork Cutlet – with a plum and ginger sauce served with Singapore fried noodles.


=Veal Limone Pan fried bobby veal medallions glazed with lemon and white wine sauce served with dauphinoise potatoes and a medley of green vegetables.
=Vegetarian– Ricotta and spinach agnolotti with a basil pesto cream sauce.


=Salmon – Crusted salmon steak served on a herb risotto and topped with a sweet caper and cherry tomato salsa.


=Barramundi fish fillets grilled with a lemon and parsley butter served with home made wedge potatoes with chilli cream cheese mousse.

Function Terms & Conditions

1. Deposits
All bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of a $200.00 desposit. Tentative bookings will only be held for a period of 14 days without a deposit after which time the date will be automatically released.

2. Cancellation Policy
The deposit shall only be refunded with 28 days notice prior to the date of the function or upon the re-booking of the cancelled date with a similar function. In either case a 10% cancellation administration fee will be charged.

3. Final Numbers
Final numbers are required 7 days prior to the date of the function and payment will be calculated on this number. Minimum payment on all functions is for 50 people.

4. Payments
Payments of catering, entertainment and equipment must be received at the time of confirming final numbers; seven days prior to the function. Bar account must be paid at the conclusion of the function.

5. Function Times
The function room bar will remain open no later than 12:30 am and the music must cease at 12:30am sharp. Function Room closes at 1:00am sharp. Starting times will be mutually agreed and room access will be made available to the host on the day of the function at an agreed time.

6. Catering
No food or drinks are to be brought onto the premises with the exception of a celebration cake. All catering and drinks are to be supplied by the club.

7. Behaviour
Offensive behaviour will not be tolerated at any time during a function on the club premises. Any damages caused during a function will be the responsibility of the host.

8. Damage and Loss
Management will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage of property left on the premises prior, during or after a function

9. Confetti
Confetti, scatters and like products are not permitted inside the club premises. Sticky tape must not be used when decorating rooms. Decorations must not be attached to light fittings, drapes or pushed under acoustic ceiling tiles. A charge of $100.00 for any breach of this clause.

10. Laws
All liquor licensing laws apply to functions including intoxication and proof of age. Alcoholic beverages must not be consumed by any person under the age of 18 at any function on these premises.

11. GST
The prices quoted are inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax

12. Extra Charges
A Security Fee of $150.00 is payable on some functions. The charge is at the discretion of the function manager and will be charged if a security person is essential for the efficient running of the function. All 21st birthdays, Engagement Parties or any Sporting Club event will be charged this security fee. If extra security is deemed by the Club (for large attendance functions) you will be charged $30.00 x 4 hours.

13. BYO Policy
No food or alcohol is to be brought onto the premises of the Ringwood RS&L, unless with the consent of the manager. The celebratory cake is permitted, if home made we need an ingredients list and contact details of who made the cake.  Potato chips and nuts are permitted to be brought into the RSL, as long as they are sealed in commercial packaging.
